About RV Labs
RV Labs started with a simple pattern I could never ignore: when something doesn’t work, I need to take it apart and make it better. In 2018, that instinct led me to redesign a latch for caravans and vans at a time when the entire industry was still using hardware that had not changed in more than two decades.
I am not a mechanical engineer by training. Everything I know came from building prototypes, breaking them, reshaping the mechanism and tasting ideas by hand. That practical and experimental approach became the foundation of RV Labs and still guides every product decision today.
Seven years later, the latch that started on my workbench has grown into a globally recognised solution used by DIY builders, custom van converters and caravan manufacturers across Australia, USA. Canada, Europe and New Zealand. With each iteration, I strengthened the mechanism, improved the movement and refined the overall experience until it performed exactly as it should.
As RV Labs grew, I began hearing the same feedback from parents: “This would be perfect for my kitchen. My toddler gets into every drawer.”
That repeated insight shaped the next stage of development.

Where do we go from here?.
RV Labs has always taken a different approach.
We do not replicate existing products.
We do not chase low-cost alternatives.
We build solutions that did not exist before, hardware that looks better, feels better and solves real problems in a smarter way.
As the brand continues to grow, I look forward to collaborating with designers, manufactures and retailers who value practical creativity and thoughtful engineering. I do not follow a fixed path. The best ideas often appear through exploration and experimentation.
Let’s build something great together!
